1. The Georgia Aquarium
We may be far from the beach, but the kids will LOVE this place....the world's largest!
  2. Chastain Park
Take a walk around this family-friendly park intown...complete with a golf course, fantastic playground, horse stables, tennis courts, ball fields and gorgeous homes to oogle. The outdoor amphitheater has incredible concerts in the summertime.
  3. The Center for Puppetry Arts
Fantastic Puppet shows and special events.
  4. Purple Hippo Arts Studio
My daughter would move in here if she could. This is a fantastic little arts studio in Dunwoody. And no messy glitter on the floor of your house.
  5. Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta
Great hands-on exhibits where the kids get creative and learn something at the same time.
  6. Sunflower Café
Amazing vegetarian fare. So good the kids won't miss the meat and totally won't fuss about eating their veggies.
  7. Zoo Atlanta
Cheaper than an African Safari and much closer...our great year-round weather makes this an easy outing anytime. Plus, the zoo regularly hosts special events and even a Night Crawlers program where kids can spend the night among the animals!
  8. Decatur Square
Great shops, restaurants and a fantastic summer festival make this neighborhood perfect for a family outing.
  9. The Varsity
Okay, so you don't want to go here often but hey, we are in the south and a little grease (once in a while) won't kill you. The world's largest drive-in is a sight to behold and the fried peach pies are a guilty pleasure.
  10. The World of Coca Cola
It may be a cliché, but the kids will love the room where they can tast sodas from around the world. Opening in a brand new location this May.
