If you are looking for a bargain on gently used baby gear or kid's clothes, or have just cleaned out your closet and have maternity clothes to sell, LaBump.com is the place to go. Look for our friends from La Bump at the January party- they'll be doing the face painting!

We adopted Charlie the Fabulous in June. He has been an amazing addition to our family- and uber patient. He lets my daughter Lucy (2 1/2) lay on him, crawl on him, and tuck him in with blankets while he naps on the floor. He calmly follows her while she takes him for walks around the house. If you are thinking about adding a canine member to your family, think about adopting a golden retriever from the great volunteers at DFW Metro Golden Retriever Rescue. We love Charlie so much that we are thinking of adopting a Golden Retriever sister for him this winter!

Has your little one recently graduated to a twin bed? wondering what to do with that great crib? Dallas Furniture Bank will make sure that it finds a great new home! DFB provides furniture that meets basic living needs to families and individuals who are transitioning out of homelessness. Hundreds of homeless families in the Dallas area will achieve the dream of transitioning into a home of their own this year. Unfortunately, for most the dream comes at a cost so high they have no money left to furnish their new home. (75% of families in transition have no furniture at all.) Families dine without tables or chairs and children and babies sleep on the floor. You can help! Donate your gently used furniture (cribs are one of the most needed items) to DFB! so please hep furnish it - at the dallas furniture bank.

From sweet, shy smiles to a little head thrown back in laughter – these are the images Karen loves to capture in her portraits. She takes a different approach to a portrait session, taking the time to bring out and capture the child’s personality, rather than just a pretty pose. She’ll bring this fun, fresh style to our Baby Loves Disco party. Be sure to look for her – she’ll be the one with the big camera around her neck...and probably a spunky two year old tagging along behind! learn more here: Karen Fish Photography

Leave it to the smart Dallas-based folks at The Pretty Bean to figure out a way to turn plastic bags into bibs. We're not sure how they do it, but the result is pretty darn amazing.

To keep supporting local designers past the baby stage, hit Fig Leaf Baby for clever cotton tees. We love the one that says "foodie."
